Easy Homemade Cornbread
This easy homemade cornbread is perfect to pair with your favorite winter soup, a big pot of beans or a skillet full of pork chops. It stirs together in minutes and can be out of the oven by the time the food gets to the table.

- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons aluminum free baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Oil to grease skillet or pan
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Optional - preheat skillet or pan for a crispy crust.
Combine all dry ingredients ensuring no lumps of baking powder remain.
Add all other ingredients and stir. It's not important to stir out every single lump.
Pour into preheated pan or skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
